Pfeifer - TTI d.o.o., Zagreb

Company Pfeifer - TTI moved in early April to a new location, in a brand new building in the street Franjo Tudjman in Samoborski Novaki, which can provide more to their customers, especially in the area of training on new techniques and new tools.
Pfeifer - TTI is since recently in the new building, next to the famous restaurant Babilon, on the Stara samoborska, as the locals call the street. Although the building is brand new, Marijan Pfeifer, director of the company, is most happy because the new space allows for a much better transfer of information on new products that his company offers.

How to connect robot cells in any industrial network

Svensk Industriautomation (SVIA) is a fast-growing automation company in Jönköping, Sweden, developing robot systems for customers in the Nordic countries, Germany, U.K., The Netherlands, and the U.S. The systems are put together to robot cells which are able to communicate with other systems in a factory for example. The core of the robot cell is SVIA’s own vision system called Pickvision, which detects exactly how a particular object is placed on a conveyor belt and thereby enables a robot to pick the object up. In simple terms, you could say that SVIA enables robots to see. This revolutionary technology has become very popular on the automation market and has enabled SVIA to double its turnover during the past few years.
“Our strength lies in the simplicity,” says Anders Mandorsson, Designer and Project Manager at SVIA. “It is very easy to tell the robot what to pick from the carrier belt, and then you are ready to go.” By using the Pickvision software, users take a picture of the object which is to be picked from the belt. The software automatically detects the shape of the object and every time this shape shows up in the camera, the robot is able to determine how to pick it up.

Flexible and efficient pipe production using QuickSwitch technology

The long-proven and efficient QuickSwitch system for in-line dimension change at the push of a button is available with immediate effect for the production of PO pipes with a diameter of up to 450 mm. For some months now, S.C. Valrom Industrie S.R.L. in Bucharest (Romania) has been producing single-, double- and three-layer PE drinking water pipes in a diameter range between 250 and 450 mm on a fully automated QuickSwitch line from KraussMaffei Berstorff. In addition to the single-screw extruders from the successful 36D series, the key components of the machine are the newly designed KM-3L RKW 75 QS pipe head, the suction belt and the calibration basket with a QuickSwitch design. The system also increases competitiveness since the producer can react flexibly, offer short delivery times and quickly perform urgent orders.
