Technological innovations, as well as the current and future state of PET will be examined at PETnology Americas 2019

22.03.2019

New advancements in technological innovation and discussions relating to the current and future states of the PET packaging industry will be session focal points at the 2019 PETnology Americas conference, May 14-15 at the Georgia Tech Global Learning Center in Atlanta, GA.

190317-P2PETnology Americas 2019, produced in collaborative partnership of The Packaging Conference and PETnology, is the only technology-focused PET packaging conference in the Americas. The first event, presented in June 2018, was marked by lively and thought-provoking discussion along the PET packaging value chain with a special focus on sustainability and circular economy.

As the only PET-focused conference offered in the US, PETnology Americas has been designed for packaging industry professionals looking for a one-stop-shop for the latest innovations in technology, product launches and machinery designed to accelerate the PET industry.

Increased aggressive sustainability goals are driving the industry to take a closer look at recycling challenges in the US, as collection rates are remaining stagnant, creating a direct impact on the amount of available post-consumer recycled materials needed to achieve these goals. The conference agenda includes topics such as a deep look into recycling challenges, innovative resin development, the Circular Economy, machinery and technological advancements, as well as innovations in package design, caps and closures as well as labeling technologies.

“A valuable component of our conference is the networking opportunities for anyone working in the global PET industry. PETnology Americas was designed to connect all facets of PET production and consumption within the packaging industry,” said Barbara Appel, managing director of PETnology.

In addition to the extensive conference schedule, several key industry suppliers will also be promoting their technology via tabletop exhibits. For additional information, please visit the website.

Registration rates range between $1,150 - $1,500 based on registration deadlines that can be found on their registration. The fees include conference sessions and proceedings, breaks, Tuesday and Wednesday lunch and a Monday evening reception to promote additional networking. The group rate at The Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center is an additional $219 per night.
