Arburg celebrates ten years in Mexico
On 12 April 2018, Arburg's subsidiary in Mexico celebrated its ten-year anniversary with some 150 invited guests. In keeping with the special occasion, a high-ranking delegation from the German headquarters was in attendance, led by Managing Partner Juliane Hehl and Managing Director Sales Gerhard Böhm. As part of the festive evening event, Juliane Hehl presented the traditional Arburg anniversary sculpture to subsidiary manager Guillermo Fasterling. A further official highlight of the evening was the honouring of four employees for ten years of loyalty to the company before moving on to gaming and fun as well traditional Mariachi music at the specially set-up casino.
To celebrate the anniversary "Ten Years of Arburg Mexico" in style, the subsidiary had invited its guests to a festive evening event at the exclusive Hacienda Jurica Querétaro. In her speech, Managing Partner Juliane Hehl underlined the achievements of the Arburg subsidiary: "I am extremely impressed with what our Mexican team has accomplished over the past decade." She went on to say that the Arburg brand promise "Wir sind da." is put into practice on a daily basis by the employees as they are always available for their customers.

Juliane Hehl thanked the subsidiary team for this special commitment on behalf of the owner families and the entire Arburg parent company. In recognition of ten years of successful work and as a motivation for the next decades she presented the anniversary sculpture to Guillermo Fasterling, who has managed the subsidiary since its foundation and has successfully established and developed it. Accordingly, he, together with Gonzalo Mendoza, Service Manager, Juan Luna, Service Technician and Pedro Mora, Regional Sales Manager were honoured for ten years of company service.
Managing Director Sales Gerhard Böhm also expressed his thanks to the staff and, in particular, to the customers for the trust they had placed in Arburg and for the successful cooperation over the past years: "This anniversary confirms that we chose the right path with the foundation of our subsidiary in 2008 and that our ongoing investments in this market have paid dividends."
Successful developments began decades ago
Arburg's activities in Mexico began with the sale of the first Allrounders back in the 1980s. Initially, trading partners looked after the mainly domestic customers. Over the years, the plastics industry has been steadily growing and more and more international companies built production sites in Mexico. Owing to the great market potential and the good business contacts, Arburg decided to found its own subsidiary in 2008. "This was a significant milestone for us and marked an important step towards the successful development of our company in Mexico," said Gerhard Böhm. He further explained that, owing to the expansion of the subsidiary and of the customer base, as well as the dynamic growth of the plastics industry in the Bajio Region, the next milestone was the move to Queretaro City in 2013.
National and international customers from all industries
Today, Arburg has a very broad customer portfolio of national and international companies in Mexico: from customers who operate a single machine in the garage through to companies with several dozen machines and sophisticated turnkey solutions. Overall, the trend within the Mexican plastics industry is towards complex equipment, electric machines and automation. Here, Allrounders are not only very well represented in the automotive industry, but also in the electronics and toy sectors, as well as, increasingly, in the packaging industry.

Today, the Mexican Arburg team counts 25 employees, including experts in application technology, as well as automation and turnkey projects.
